My favourite programme is a TV series "The Simpsons'. It is an American cartoon about an unusual family. The episodes are 30 minutes long. To watch it you must have cable TV or satellite TV because our Polish TV does not show it anymore. You must watch Foxkids channel to see it.
The action takes place in every location of Springfield. We see the home of the family, the school, place of work of the father etc. the family consists of five persons. They are father Homer, mother Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie. I like the father Homer J. Simpson most. He tries to be everything: a caring father, a loving husband, businessman and dreamer. He drinks a lot of beer and likes bowling. He is also fat and lazy but we can feel sympathy for him. Life was not easy for Homer. He was raised by his father, Abraham Simpson only. He somehow finished the high school despite the fact that he did not pass the exam. In the school he met Marge whom she later married. He works at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. He is a safety inspector but he spends majority of time sleeping and eating which lead to many dangerous situations (after all he works in a nuclear facility). He lives in Springfield in a district called Evergreen Terrace. It is described a part of the town where members of upper-lower-middle class live. During his free time he drinks Duff Beer, eat doughnuts (the main element of his diet), watch the Bee Guy. There are many things and persons that he dislikes and there are his work, his boss and his neighbour. He is probably the funniest and easiest recognisable character of the show. He is also my favourite one.
The main themes in the series are relations between humans but there are also episodes about politics and religion. I like this series very much because I can easily laugh when I watch it.
